Educator's Virtual Mentor is a unique, online staff development resource using teaching videos. Help calibrate administrators and develop teachers as they watch the featured teachers demonstrate techniques that work in authentic teaching settings with real students learning real content in real time. Instructional leaders, mentors, and coaches may study classroom walk through observation videos, gather data and write feedback compared to rubrics applied to the featured teacher. Users within a district or building may use reflection questions to guide their discussions. Instructional leaders can work together to compare notes/data and feedback comments while calibrating their appraisal and coaching techniques.

Listen and watch for some advice about teaching, or some talk about the passion for teaching, or that all important "Look" that teachers use in managing the classroom and developing positive relationships. Hit "Reload" to see other teachers.

EVM is available in QT and the Flash video format in two sizes, 640 x 480 pixels and 320 x 240 pixels. The QuickTime video format allows the videos to be expanded to any size including full screen viewing.

EVM is optimized for browsers like Firefox and Safari. Windows users will be able to view our video content in both QuickTime and Flash Video in both browsers. Windows users who utilize Internet Explorer (IE) should select Flash as their video playback format. Mac users should note that Microsoft stopped supporting IE for the Mac in 2001. Using any other browser should provide an optimal experience. Thanks.
